Again, safety is virtually always the angle they come from to implement it and yes it will stop some crime. But if we don’t curb here in Canada like we did with Clearview AI, then eventually it’s going to be used for every which reason that someone may want to track a person. It won’t be pretty.

Police in the US already have bullshit reasons to pull out from their pocket whenever they want to arrest anyone. This tech can make it easier for them to track anyone they don’t like (for example the news org Marion County Record who were retaliated against for investigating the county police chief).

If you can’t pluralize ‘traffic’ or ‘email’ right, then I doubt the writing ability. Once there’s doubt, it erodes other trust. No point in reading further.
