It’s vandalism. Some towns even regret having installed them and legally cannot remove them.

Maybe it’s just me, but all the links on that page seem to point to a different zine (“Red flags: Before you join that org”) than one about Flock. I tried a few likely URL substitutions but couldn’t find the intended PDF.

You don’t necessarily have to put in the time to remove them. You can also quickly re-decorate them with a bit of spray paint and then move along before anyone has a chance to react to your presence…
