Tip your hat my dude. Unless it was for something you actually should have been banned for. Knowing .ml… probably not

--Your link doesn't work, I suspect due to the closed parentheses at the end

Your client probably doesn’t cut parenthesis, I’ll edit it

I am on piefed via web-browser. You have me a bit worried about what else my client is interpreting wrong.
Could a kind soul point the town idiot toward resources that would help me learn about this phenomenon?

How does plaintext and link (or any other formatting)cutoffs differ across clients and why specifically?

@rimu@piefed.social is Piefed’s dev, he’ll probably be the best to explain you what happened.

Rimu, in Piefed, it seems like feddit.org/post/6950586) would have the last parenthesis as part of the link?

rimu@piefed.social on 22 Jan 2025 20:45 collapse

Yep, that could well be a bug. I just tried creating this post with no issues but maybe when it comes in from Lemmy something different happens...

Thanks @blaze@lemmy.zip
