As title, I’m using Thunderbird (k9) on android, searched on f-droid too, nothing…is it really that difficult?

I did a search on TB’s Github “folders” and this is what i got. github.com/thunderbird/…/issues?q=is%3Aissue+stat… It seems TB does have folders.

Any issues for OPs question of creating folders? TB definitely has them but I checked and also can’t create a folder.

Folders are working normally for me in Thunderbird on 4 different servers. Guess you are doing something to make it difficult.

I just checked and like OP I can’t see how to create a new folder in a mailbox. Where are you doing this in the app?

I’d expect to see it under mailbox > manage folders. But, for me, there’s no option to create a new folder.

Oops, sorry, I was wrong. I am not using TB anymore on my Android, but the “Edison mail” app. Free version, non premium. It can do the folders.

yeah, same

Apparently people can’t read: OP is specifically asking for an email app that let you create folders.

Have you tested the other email apps on F-Droid?

dafunkkk@lemmy.world on 29 Jul 11:48 collapse

didn’t tried just had a look on fdroid e-mail apps features

I only haxe one phone with Thunderbird. Checked but I see no way to add folders. Since TB is based on K-9 Mail I assume the latter can’t do it either but will check. FairEmail, however, does allow for creation of folders.

thanks, will check it!
