Good alternatives to google apps script for syncing/automating data

I’m not a programmer so excuse my poor terminology. I have some scripts set up in google apps script for communicating with a couple apps/programs (to-do lists, health data syncs to update local spreadsheet). I’d like to move these off of google but am not sure where to start. Are there paid services that offer a similar experience for writing little programs to route my data around?

How has Google written them? Are they just basic Python scripts? They’d probably work anywhere, but I’ve never used that app, so I don’t know how it works, especially with your other apps. Might be time to “Google” that, or Ecosia, Qwant, etc.

I’m sure I could write the scripts in python but the google apps script method would also keep it online to ‘listen’ for changes. I don’t have a computer I leave on all the time so I guess I’m in need of affordable hosting? suggestions for some very low traffic scripts
