IDK if it was Persona, but when I tried to sign up last year, they demanded I send a copy o fmy photo ID to a 3rd party identity broker. I refused, and did not sign up. Given the recent huge breaches of photo ID databases, I feel kinda vindicated about that.

I started to sign up a couple years ago, maybe, and they wanted a massive amount of personal info. It never made sense to me. If I was willing to give all that out to some random company online, I wouldn’t need a privacy service.

I suppose they are going to require some KYC info. They have legal reqs they have to meet. So, I get that they must know my real identity. Still, they could do it without a photo ID given to a 3rd party identiy broker. There are other ways, which do not depend on an ID copy which every identity thief in the world wants.

I went through it, and there’s nothing of note there. It basically boils down to somebody calling a bunch of people weirdos, with some arbitrary claims, and links to irrelevant, even contradictory information.

On August 3rd, 2026, Louis posted a video about openly transgender Colorado state representative Brianna Titone, and in the YouTube comments posted a remark explaining his position on transgender issues, which can be paraphrased as “I think transgender women are men but I’m willing to overlook it if we have common cause”.

The ‘source’ provided here only links to the video. Good luck reading all the 423 comments, and figuring out which one is him saying anything close to that paraphrased statement.

They’re also calling Louis a weirdo for being an associate of Eron Wolf. And if you go to Eron Wolf’s entry, he’s a weirdo, because… he’s an associate of Louis Rossmann. Yeah, that’s makes perfect sense.

Eron is the modestly wealthy founder of FUTO, an organization that funds software projects. He doesn’t like the Open Source Definition (…)

This is one of the few technically accurate claims on the page, but it’s manipulative. The relevant part of FULU’s statement is:

Our use of the term “open source” thus far has been not out of carelessness, but out of disdain for OSI approved licenses which nevertheless allow developers to be exploited by large corporate interests. The OSI, an organization with confidential charter members and large corporate sponsors, does not have any legal right to say what is and is not “open source”. It is arrogant of them to lay claim to the definition.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable.

I’m guessing the website author is hoping you won’t actually click any of the links, because none of them support their claims or the points they’re trying to make.

I’d say this just looks like a billionaire-funded smear campaign.

I’m using privacy.com haven’t been asked any ID yet but then again bank account is attached to it so I assume it verifies through bank. What am I missing, what should I change? Or maybe how should I understand this change?
