I have a Dreame PCB breakout adaptor for Valetudo. It’s a spare, not soldered.

I don’t have a button but I should have the other parts needed.

Free to whomever needs it within Canada. I’ll ship it, send me a private message. :)

If no one within Canada needs it this week, I’ll look up how much it is to mail to USA. Message me in a week.

Unless you buy it by then.

What is this for? I’m not familiar with what PCB breakout adapters do.

This is for connecting a Dreame vacuum robot to a PC for purposes of flashing Valetudo firmware over their stock firmware. The breakout board is needed because the connector on the robot is not USB, but a 2x8 PIN connector. When connected to the vacuum, it looks like this.

Thanks for the explanation!

Basically I wanted my robot vacuum mop to operate locally, and didn’t want my robot to stop working if the company goes bankrupt.

Check out Valetudo. valetudo.cloud

The idea is to put Valetudo on the machine so it operates locally but still has all the functionality! To do that you need to plug into the vacuum but it doesnt have a usb port to do this easily. The breakout PCB connects to the vacuum, so you can plug a wire from the robot to your laptop (linux) to put the firmware on it.

My phone app doesn’t find my vacuum but that’s ok, I can access it via IP.

Could not find one easily in France. Works with a standard USB cable but not mistake proof

I was too scared to do it this way. Glad it worked for you!

That’s the first time I see a Wago attached USB cable. How’s the connection?

NoctisRider@sh.itjust.works on 11 May 18:07 collapse

Very good, had no issue for the whole process to complete. I thought about soldering but then lazyness took over

Great, as long as it works it’s a great idea, it just looks really funny
