Has anyone gotten US Mobile to work with Graphene OS? I’ve been using ESim since I’ve had the service. And I’ve been using the App to manage my service.

It works on both sim and esim. I can’t say anything on the app itself though.

Using it right now. Setup was straightforward, and I’m using Warp Speed and Dark Star.

What is warp and dark star?

eldavi@lemmy.ml on 23 Apr 16:53 collapse

they’re the names of usmobile’s network plans. warp with their tombile based network plan and dark star is their at&t network plan.

e: warp is verizon, light speed is tmobile

Warp Speed is based on Verizon.

you’re right, i was thinking light speed

Never tried ESIM because it requires google code to run, but it works fine with physical Sim.

Could you elaborate on this some more? I’ve never heard of this.

This is great news. I can get physical sims. Now I just need to pick a pixel phone. Thanks everyone !

I’m on a pixel 9 graphene with physical sim on Warp. I had issues with RCS on their light speed(t-mobile) but it’s been working well on warp

In GrapheneOS, there’s a new RCS activation setting in “Sandboxed Google Play” -> “Play service permissions”.

I didn’t have RCS for years, and this feature fixed it. The fearure was just added in February.

I bounce back and forth from Darkstar to Warp. My area is terrible for T-Mobile in general. So that’s good to know !

I’m using the T-Mobile one (light speed maybe?) with a physical sim card and it works. (although I haven’t gotten texting/calling to work over WiFi yet)

TurtleTourParty@midwest.social on 24 Apr 04:18 next collapse

I’ve used both Warp and Light speed with eSIM on a pixel 8.

I have a different provider but in case you didn’t know you do need to have google play services installed with network access to set up an eSIM. You can delete it afterwards. I just used the qr code in the email from my cell provider to avoid having to install an app.
