I guess they figure that Linux users already know what they are doing when it comes to security.
2fa keeps biting me in the ass because, somehow, each time i set it up; i lose access to the authenticator and have to use the breakglass codes to disable it.
there’s needs to be guidance for people like me who are ultra klutzy and have shitty memories. lol
Ente Auth is cross platform, open source, cloud syncs and lets you export all your codes if you ever want to switch apps.
Aegis allows you to backup your codes, so if you lose your phone or whatever, you can just load your backup on another device and keep going.
This could really use a lightweight web interface. A wall of text with open-ended prompts is going to turn a lot of folks away. Maybe I’ll reach out to the author and see about extending it
