Options for pirating scene releases of movies and TV shows?

Ever since RARBG shut down, finding scene releases for shows and movies has been arduous if not outright impossible. I usually frequent 1337x, limetorrents and sometimes tpb.party, but unless you’re looking for something that was released in the past 6 months, chances are you’re out of luck as far as scene releases are concerned due to torrents either not existing or having no seeders (which may as well be the same thing).

Curious to hear what the people in this community use to find scene releases. Torrents, usenet, vooodoo magick, I’ll take anything at this point.

Often debrid services have cached content of torrents long gone, if the media is not very niche.

What are debrid services?

Websites that download links for you - online download managers.

You paste a link or drop a torrent and they return you a link from their CDN to downloaded content. The links these services can handle include magnets, cryptolockers (like rapidshare) and sometimes youtube etc.

Sounds silly except for one caveat - massive cache - if someone has downloaded the link before you, they respond instantly because they already have the files.

The name comes from real-debrid, which is the OG debrid service, but recently started working with law enforcement. If you want to find which ones are currently the best, Kodi addon based pirate communities use and discuss them a lot, I only know /r/addons4kodi from reddit.

Thanks for explaining. This just might be what I’m looking for. I’ll browse around a bit and decide on one later.

I use therarbg.com and they have quite a few things unless you’re looking for some art cinema stuff or rare foreign cinema, and sometimes they have some of that just very few seeders.

Unfortunately, they only seem to have stuff that’s already available on other sites I mentioned and not much in the way of scene releases. Thanks anyway, though.

digitalcore and milkie are easy to access private trackers focused on SCENE

you should take a look at the !trackers@lemmy.dbzer0.com wiki (or if you dare, the subreddit) for more info

Will do, thanks! Except the subreddit, I very much don’t dare.
