Was nervous sharing this since it is nothing compared to other setups yet, but small beginnings. (๑•﹏•)

I don’t have much room really right now so I keep this server underneath my desk and it is only 8 gb right now, but it is impressive for what it is. Planning on buying more ram off of ebay, but for 8 gb everything runs smoothly. This is a Dell Percision T3600 that I bought off of eBay. Has an Intel Xeon which a friend told me are very good cpus. Looking forward to buying a second one to run Secure Onion + pfSense and an Intel NUC to run Proxmox.

I also have a glinet travel router that I hooked up to a mini switch which provides ethernet connection which helps in case the wireless connection fails for some reason and the logitech mouse was when I was troubleshooting via a monitor. The graphics card uses a display port so I had to get an adapter. The power strip is a mini one from Anker which works well. I use a lot of hardware I’ve collected over the years.

Been using this to test my various tools that I’ve written and plan on doing more like setup vms and other labs.

I run webmin and cockpit which I switch between since both offer features that I like. Run ssh and also xrdp for when I need a graphical desktop. Originally didn’t like or wanted xrdp, but it has provided to be useful without being too clunky.
