Hello everyone,

I am looking to degoogle my android phone (moto G stylus 2022 5G) but the issue is that there is no custom roms for android 13, however i can root the device and unlock the bootloader. I know in the past doing what im about to ask can break the phone, but has anyone ever had success degoolging their stock ROM with a rooted device?

Moto RAZR 50, I’m running a stock ROM but with Magisk and manually swapped Google Play services with microG. It’s not a “run and use” solution but I have working notifications in apps which require them and no Google shenanigans

I’ve had some luck in the past with simply disabling all the Google stuff via root.

Sometimes this caused bootloops (10 years ago). More recently it caused a recurring error message. Sometimes it worked just fine.

Re-enabling Google services and rebooting typically resolved the issues.

If there is not a custom ROM than uninstall all Google apps with adb Btw there an Android app called canta to do it.

Have a look at E/OS. I rooted an old Samsung S7 Edge recently. They have an Easy Installer app which said it supported my phone; however, I couldn’t get to work so did a manual install instead.
