Hello,

Find a different service. If you name a google service, maybe we can suggest an alternative.
Androids do not need to sign into google.
by looking at your profile, I think you won’t like my question. but I need google account to use lot of AI services.
I’ve been degoogled for many years. I gave Proton’s LLM, Lumo, a try. No google account required.
I second Lumo. I find it very good at compiling pretty good sources too.
I think you should think about why you want to degoogle. What’s made that a priority for you?
I bet you’ll find that using LLMs contradicts those values.
Great point.
I use a ton of AI services, and never once needed a Google account. Chatgpt, github copilot, perplexity, all support local/email login. there’s Duck.AI etc etc. You can use gemini via perplexity etc (got the free year with PayPal login) AI is easy but I don’t support anyone paying (real money) for it.
Why? I do use LLMs too, there is not a single service where I absolutely have to login with a Google account that I know off.
Now I’ve seen everything.
Mistral, Kagi, DuckDuckGo, Brave Leo and probably more let you all use AI services without a Google account.
Mistral seems promising, Thanks!
yes, but even without a boogle account most, if not all, of the android (from factory) would be making connections through google play services &c
you need a degoogled android (lineage, graphene, iode, e &c
play services have access to every app on your phone.
If you don’t want boogle to have your personal data, you need to nip that thing.
if you’re starting degoogling, do yourself a favor, save time and install a clean OS. Yes, you can degoogle with adb but it takes some effort and it’s never as clean and efficient as lineage or graphene.
for the time, this can help ☞
pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.gms
pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.gsf
pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.ims
I basically don’t, but I do have a dummy google account that I use if I have to (tip, sign up to goigle cloud services, you can use any email and it makes it easier as signing up to gmail is harder sometimes)
Thanks for the tip. I will use my disroot account to sign up for a dummy google account using google cloud services. I think that would work. thank you so much. <img alt="" src="https://programming.dev/pictrs/image/2f8cf2fb-0648-4b59-820a-552b90d81f27.gif">

Alternative To was invaluable when I degoogled, not perfect though as it still lists some apps that invade and track even when you select the Privacy focused option in the search options, but it DOES give you somewhere to start from with all the info you need.
I’m currently running lineage on my phone, tablet and now working on a lineage streaming box to replace firestick. Good luck!
Also for Open Source openalternative.co
Ooh, nice. Thanks for that link.
We don’t, personally.
For android, look to see if your phone can install an alternative Android build like Lineage. wiki.lineageos.org/devices/ You can get apps from F-Droid, which is a different appstore that only has open source apps and doesn’t even have accounts at all.

Android works perfectly fine without a Google account, even Stock Android. Only thing you’ve to take into account is that you won’t be able to use the Play Store properly (and “Find my device” if you use it).
