had anyone else noticed YouTube front end apps/sites unable to get updated lists of videos or any lists at all? I haven’t checked all the symptoms to be able to guess the root cause.
i assume YouTube itself hasn’t gone down. are they blocking front ends again, maybe in a new way?

Yes.
I have this problem too.Quick “fix” is to enable Fast Mode for the feed, at least in Newpipe/Pipepipe.
Pipepipe: Settings > Feed > Fetch from dedicated feed when available.

thank you! a true friend!
#FuckGoogle
it still can only fetch a few channels. something weird is afoot
Was wondering about this, i have seen similar before and it usually gets fixed on the next update. Hopefully anyway.
On freetube going into setting->subscriptions and enabling fetch feeds from RSS has fixed it for me.
Oh of course! thank you fam!
No worries. I’m sure they’ll have a fix soon, those guys are always quick to unfuck whatever youtube tries to break haha
That worked last night/this morning, but it looks like Google managed to break that for now, too
It’s been down for 2 days for me. The githib page says they know about it.
A technical work around would just be using your regular browser, and sending the link to your client :(
Freetube on Fedora seldom works for me.
Pipepipe generally works better but a couple of days ago my “what’s new” page was blank. Channel pages still show the videos. I added all the channels’ rss feeds to my rss reader so I can still get notified of new videos.
Well, that fix for PipiPipe didn’t last long.
@quickenparalysespunk in #Freetube I use this workaround: Settings > Subscription > Fetch feeds from RSS
